Always wanted to learn to partner dance or think Latin dancing seems exciting? Need a fun way to spend a Friday night? The Ballroom Performance Group welcomes campus and the community to a FREE beginner American Rumba lesson at 7pm followed by social dancing (mix of all styles) from 8-10:30pm. $3 for UGA students and $5 general admission. Come dance with us!

No previous dance experience or partner required! In fact, we rotate partners during the lesson so you can dance with different people! Athens community members are always welcomed. Invite your friends and join us for an awesome time with American Rumba.

Dressy casual attire is recommended. This typically includes collared shirts, slacks, skirts and dresses.

The lesson and dance will be held in the New Dance Theatre inside the UGA Department of Dance (across from Snelling Dining Commons) at 325 Sanford Drive Athens, GA 30602.

BPG hosts Friday Night Dance Parties every First and Third Friday of the month. Look out for our events, as we teach a different dance style every time!
