AUDITIONS - FALL 2018

Auditions to join the UGA Ballroom Performance Group are November 14th at 6pm in the UGA NewDance Theater. During the audition, leads and follows are asked to demonstrate the basics of East Coast Swing, Cha Cha, and Waltz indicated on this syllabus. Auditions are semi-formal dress.

Incoming BPG members enter into an apprentice class. The BPG Apprentice Group meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00pm to learn technique and performance skills. After a minimum of one semester training, Apprentices may become eligible to perform with the Ballroom Performance Group as principal members.

To prepare for auditions, you can contact BPG members individually or message us on facebook to set up individual practice sessions. Additionally, below are some other options to learn the audition dances.

Remember, we want you to succeed! We love growing our dance family so don’t be nervous and good luck!
